KANDA.CARE is a low cost, high impact tablet based BEHAVIOUR AND LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM for schools, with core data stored on Google Drive allowing any number of users to be supported. To keep costs low and to allow maximum customisation, user data analysis and accessibility we use Google Sheets to store data rather than a commercial database. This was not easy to do efficiently but it was worth it, allowing a level of personalisation to school, cluster or trust that is simply not possible with other systems. For the teacher at the sharp end great effort has been taken to create maximum user friendly usability in a small hand held tablet. KANDA.CARE was designed to be USED.
KANDA.CARE is a collection of modules designed to compliment and provide a tool for front line teaching staff to deliver outstanding student outcomes. Each module contains a number of elements, and while each module can be used independently, a school will see maximum benefit from the cross-module interaction in using the complete suite. KANDA.CARE can promote and record positive behaviour, record negative behaviour with response and consequences, and record incidents of disputes and bullying. It can be used to manage SEN, Differentiation and Inclusion needs, aid lesson planning, assessment and attainment tracking, ensure teaching quality assurance and promote parental engagement. It can also take registration and record lunch options. All this is done in real time, from any classroom, corridor or playground (with WiFi access), with data sent to the cloud and available for senior management and other systems in the school for analysis and enactment from a PC or laptop.
No gimmicks and kiddie graphics. Colour coded
buttons in a logical layout allow the fastest
event recording. This is a tool that gets used,
saving time and disruption to lesson delivery.
Pick it up, 5 seconds later it's back on the desk,
job done! Record events on the move.

or admin to act upon or data to

Q1. When is KANDA.CARE available?
A. The BEHAVIOUR module is available now, with the remaining modules due to be released through summer 2017. We concentrated on this module first because as a tool it has real power to transform your school culture.
Q2. What will it cost?
A. KANDA.CARE is available on a yearly subscription for the software, which includes free updates as long as you use it. The annual cost depends on the number of students and modules, plus a fixed base cost. So the annual total will be £400 plus each module will cost 20p per year per student. We also charge an initial one-off £500 for setting up the system regardless of the number of modules. All prices are +vat. You will also need android tablets for all your mobile users. Admin staff can use their PC/laptop, but we find even SLT like to use a tablet so they can be involved around the school.
Q3. What tablet do you recommend?
A. The app has been optimised for use on a 7" android tablet as this is the best size to be mobile around the school and can fit in most bags and large pockets. We recommend the Google Nexus 7 (2013) because it has wireless charging and NFC capability, and is good quality at low cost. Unfortunately it is no longer in production, so it is harder to get hold of new, however there are a reasonable supply of reconditioned and good condition used ones available. If you wish to buy new then the app will work on any Android tablet or device but we recommend a 7" or 8" HD (1280x800 minimum resolution) tablet.
Q3. Why do you suggest wireless charging?
A. This allows the teacher to keep the tablet on their desk and just pick it up to use it without worrying about a charging lead. As the charge is topped up during the day you do not have to leave electrical devices charging unsupervised overnight. It also means there is a natural home spot for it on the desk. Wireless charging adaptors are available for most tablets.
Q4. Why do you suggest the NFC function?
A. Particularly in Primary, kids just love the NFC wristbands. It takes an instant to zap them with a behaviour point and you really get a sense of engagement. They are optional, and it's also very quick to award points manually through the tablet.
Q5. Does KANDA.CARE supply the hardware?
A. Not normally, but we can do on special request..
Q6. What training is required?
A. For the teachers, very little really, we supply simple instructions with the system. It is so intuitive to use if you play with it for a few minutes then you have it. You will need one administrator who is familiar with Google Sheets, for them we supply more detailed instructions but generally it is so easy to use that no formal training is needed. Of course if you have special requirements then please talk to us.
Q7. Can we use iPads?
A. iPads do not have a specific app but they can use the web browser version which works just the same way. iPads usable NFC capability.
Teachers use the tablet to record behaviour on the fly.
Clear and intuitive menus and buttons allow quick data entry.
Optional student wristbands allow quicker and engaging entry.
Modules allow a variety of tasks and systems to become paperless.
Every piece of data instantly goes via the KANDA.CARE app to the Cloud.
Data is collated and processed in Google Sheets to give highly visible output.
Customised reports give unprecidented insight into full spectrum of behaviour.
KANDA.CARE gives gap analysis and proof for improved Ofsted outcomes.
Staff and pupils are very excited with the new KANDA.CARE system for behaviour amanagement. The mobile app is so quick and easy to use so we save lots of classroom time, and teachers love the complete removal of administration. Pupils have great visibility of it being used and completely engage with the positive and negative benefits and consequances. To see the instant transformational effects is quite amazing.
